The Covid Spring/Summer has has been a challenge for everyone in many different ways. With the interruption of so many planned celebrations wether it be a graduation, a wedding or a bar mitzvah, it was wonderful break from the current norm to have Josh’s family decide to try something new. A Zoom Bar Mitzvah. With help from Amy Zaroff + Events, the day was a fabulous success and proved that with some ingenuity almost any obstacle can be overcome.
Friends and family from all over the country tuned in on their computers to help Josh celebrate all his hard work and studies. He did a fantastic job reading Torah and helping to lead the morning service under all the lights and video cameras focus on him.
Come evening, it was time for everyone to relax a bit, let their hair down and get their Zoom On with Josh for a big online celebration. The evening featured a remote DJ and dancing, interactive video games and a virtual photo booth. Everyone was having a good time bouncing between the virtual party rooms. Dad even spiced up the dance floor by rapidly flicking the lights on and off for effect. The cap-off to the evening was a surprise video greeting from Brett Favre for Josh. What a way to end an exciting day. Mazel Tov, Josh. You did awesome!
